Haha, an Op-Ed should be released soon listing why I’m running, who I’m fighting for (hint: it’s all of us) and the ideas I’m behind in the race. As I stated in The Daily Reflector article, it should be very interesting! Of course I look forward to hearing from many of you throughout this process because I’m not perfect (as you all may know) and will need guidance in some cases. Oh.. and don’t worry, this won’t be run as a campaign account although from time to time I may say “..this will/won’t happen under my administration..â€

Hey BMORE--a humble request from a transportation nerd as to your transportation platform:

(1) Formally adopt a complete streets policy so the DOT will install bike lanes and sidewalks on state-owned roads.
(2) Eliminate surface parking minimums so business owners can build as much or as little parking as they'd like within their footprint. Encourage shared-use parking agreements between owners with existing private lots, since close to 50% of our parking sits unused during the day.
(3) Encourage city administration to pursue parking garage construction (as opposed to surface lots) where public finance law will permit. Where our city debt ratio is too high (due to leasing parking for free in the 4th Street garage, e.g.), move city administration parking out of there and into different areas.

The old BP station on the corner of 14th & Greenville Blvd has been bulldozed thankfully! I'm not sure if there is any development planned for that corner or not but at least it won't become a vaping store or something.
