It's interesting that parking spaces are disappearing in downtown Cleveland. E.g., Lumen, and now projects discussed in the above article. Cleveland probably still is a long way from seeing significant upward pressure on parking rates, however (think of all of the lots on Prospect, just south from Playhouse Square).

This is awesome news. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that would leave the lot just west of Statler Arms as the lone parking oasis along Euclid between Public Square and Playhouse Square.

I was wrong, I meant the parking lot just west of Bluebridge.

That would really be the only parking gap on Euclid between the square and inner belt. It’s not much a gap either and can’t be described as a parking oasis. Even the hippodrome lot isn’t an oasis, unsightly and disruptive to the street. The warehouse district between w 3- w 9 is a different story with several open blocks of parking.

Nice... Folks have been waiting for the Church + State development for some time. Nice to see it finally secure financing and get going, and a absolutely love its aggressive architectural design.. Right now, this section in Ohio City (actually referred to as "Hingetown" as it hinges on both Ohio City and neighbor Detroit-Shoreway) is one of the hottest neighborhoods in Cleveland in terms of development and popularity, with several significant apartment complexes opening in the immediate area in recent years.

Default Blockland Solutions convention

<<The Blockland initiative aims to make Cleveland a leader in blockchain, an online distributed ledger system. Blockchain is best known as the backbone of cryptocurrency, but could also be applied for mobile voting, health care records and more....

That means continuing to push for more education in blockchain technology at Cleveland-area universities or urging local businesses to be early adopters.>>

https://www.cleveland.com/news/2018/...d-forward.html

What investments are being made to put Greater Cleveland at the forefront of blockchain basic and applied research? How does it compare to efforts elsewhere in the U.S. and globally?

My hunch is that we're far behind, and actually making little or nor effort to close the gap.

Cleveland should be putting a massive effort on artificial intelligence and machine learning, in general. I've yet to see any commitment comparable to Gateway or the effort to secure the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum....

Centric adds to University Circle residential options

Also, an upcoming 7-building development??

Midwest had joined what became the Centric project because its own University Circle development, Circle City Center, requires a substantial ramp-up time. The seven-building, phased project at Stokes Boulevard and Chester Avenue, hinges on first completing the relocation and replacement of Cleveland Public Library's Martin Luther King Jr. branch at a nearby location.
