Does anyone know how the Flats East Bank construction is coming along?

^ Pics look pretty good. I'd like to think/hope that it will be completed (along with Michael Symon's BBQ place, by the time I am in town in late June/early July for a couple weeks, but, as a realist, I doubt it.

Default Restaurant shake-out

With the East Flats build-out, Cleveland will have added a lot of restaurant capacity.

Here's Zach Bruell's new restaurant:

Zack Bruell will open an eighth restaurant, in the Flats East Bank, this June | cleveland.com

It looks like a winner!

However, I wonder what districts or restaurants won't make it, or even if the East Flats will succeed, especially in winter, given its marginal location. After all, East 4th and the Warehouse District supplanted the East Flats in the past, partially due to location and proximity to Progressive Field, Quicken Loans Arena, and even PlayhouseSquare.

Yeah, with not a ton of residential draw compared to those downtown districts and the near west side, and a noncentral location.. The one thing I'm really hoping is that FEB doesn't succeed at the expense of places like the Near West Side.. That if anything, a prime spot like that will add to the other places. How did that work with the Baltimore Inner Harbor? Did it help Baltimore as a whole or make it so that was the only place people went?

I would say it helped as a whole because before that there was really no draw in Baltimore where people really went or a robust tourism economy. Plus along with the inner harbor it cleaned up some surrounding neighborhoods that are tourist draws today.

OK Clevelanders;this is food for thought.I know CLE has lost relevance in the past 50 years, but can someone out there explain to me how Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones could skip CLE,the largest msa in the state and home of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame,on their current tour! How and why did that happen?

Cleveland hasn't lost any relevance, don't be an idiot....They choose to play in central Ohio to draw from all parts of the state.
