While probably not in the top 10 for volume, there’s a very cool project happening at Boston’s most historic train station: South Station.

The skyscraper is rising right out of the roof of the old station. When complete, it’ll make for a really cool juxtaposition! Below is a pic of the construction:

Seattle area has a ton of construction and I think explains why rent is relatively affordable for a coastal city. Cranes everywhere including in the suburbs.

That's construction for major infrastructure projects and among US cities it seems like LA takes the cake. On June 16th, a bit over a week from now, LA's opening the Regional Connector which through-runs existing light rail lines through downtown. Meanwhile there's a heavy rail subway and multiple light rail extensions underfoot (and a sort of silly airport connector in lieu of a direct existing transit line extension to the airport).
