Still no acknowledgement that San Francisco metro should clealry be 7.5 million? Does that satellite image not clarify it?
Its absurd to say San Francisco and San Jose are not part of the same metro area: they are separated by 50 miles of unfettered urban development, they are connected by the Caltrain commuter rail, they share media, etc...

Your constant referencing of this praise just makes it more and more obvious that you only did that to fit your agenda. If you're so in favor of tact and a lack of innuendos then maybe you should ATTEMPT to apply either one. Again, you are the only one making innuendos here, and your tact has been terrible. Your compliments were a complete farce, and those you took offense to said what they said outright. Who else made any innuendos, aside from you?
But the point is, as already stated, the SF/Oakland/SJ bay area (population: 7.5 million) functions like any other MSA in the country. It is a continuous urban stretch that clearly feels like its part of the same urban area. The satellite image clarifies that.
The only reason the Govt. doesnt technically classify the whole Bay Area as an MSA is because San Jose itself is a huge employment epicenter...its a techincal separation and a foolish one. For the purposes of this comparison you should look at the entire continuous-urban bay area, not some arbitrary MSA determination.

From personal experience, I found Philly to be an extremely racist, culturally backward, third rate city. As a minority, the racism and attitudes of the people from Philly were completely unbearable and I had to get the hell out of there.
