In Philadelphia, one study projects that by 2050 heat-related
deaths during a typical summer could increase 90%, from
close to 130 heat-related deaths per summer to over 240
(although increased air conditioning use may not have been
fully accounted for). Similar but smaller increases have been
projected for Pittsburgh, from about 40 heat-related deaths
to 60, or a 50% increase. Winter-related deaths could drop from
85 in Philadelphia per winter to about 35 if winter temperatures
warm. In Pittsburgh, winter-related deaths are expected to change
very little. The elderly, particularly those living alone, are at
greatest risk.

RESULTS
Examining the time period from 1979 through 1999, Storm Data listed 27 temperature-related deaths in Florida, 6 from excessive heat and 21 from excessive cold while the FOVS data listed 249 deaths, 125 from excessive heat and 124 from excessive cold Figure 1. Figure 2 shows that the number of temperature-related deaths during this period is greater than those from hurricanes, tornadoes, and even lightning.

I just wanted to make sure you were not mad.....and a giant python chasing them both......that stuff is really scary....the snakes may eventually be our top predator. And a small child was actually killed a few days ago....terrifying....poor kid and the family must be in shock. SAD.
