More bars, attractions, shops, restaurants and clubs in downtown core of Indy. It's a lot cleaner and livier at night in this downtown. Boston, it's in the hoods and urban centers adjacent to downtown. Downtown cores only needs apply.
Boston has more of All of those catigories, Attractions? why do you think Boston has 1,000,000s more tourists than Indy (is Old State House+ Fanuial Hall+Haymarket not DT?)
Bars- LOL just LOL
Resturants- Boston has one of the Best food scenes in the country, Indy is maybe 4th Tier.
Clubs- No way, Boston has many more of any concievable thing than Indy.

Your funny.
Tons of attractions downtown Indy! Over 300 restaurants downtown! Downtown Boston core is lagging! Fanuial Hall/Haymarket not even a public market. The city of Boston is exploring a building next to Fanuial to place an indoor public market there. Well, Dt. Indy already has an indoor public market, not just a food stall/retail complex with a seasonal/weekly outdoor fresh produce and others like the Quincy Market. Indianapolis beats Boston to the punch! This downtown gets the better end of Boston's. That's the way it goes. It may change in the future.

Fanuial hall and Haymarket are not public, thats news to me.
attractions Boston has you beat there is a reason than millions more tourists visit Boston than Indy, and its not because Boston is Boring.

Neither Boston nor Philadelphia have any area as lively as Union Square.
In fact as far as ambience, DT SF beats DT Chicago too.
Montclair,
You are way too biased. Chicago is in a league way above SF as far as downtowns are concerned; its good to be a cheerleader for the home team, but sometimes you need to be objective. What ambiance are you talking about, homeless people everywhere?

Nice Pick, Richmond is often overlooked even though it has some nice urban Bones and decent vibrancy.
and on the Boston Vs. San Fran VS Philly, its really just personal, they are in all honesty almost identical in all urban, cultural, and entertainment aspects.

So you're nitpicking on how I chose Vegas and yet you omit Atlanta and Houston altogether? And over cities like Salt Lake and San Antonio??
