Baltimore City ended August with 240 homicides, somewhat similar trend now to past few years (~340 total).
Suburban AA County has its 10th homicide, again in Glen Burnie. A shooting (non-fatal) in GB yesterday also. Glen Burnie definitely trying to hold that "Baltimore South" reputation lately .
Murder/Suicide in Brickell, Miami. This brings the city proper to about 33 or 34 for the year. The Miami crime map has not been updated and is not showing recent shootings/murders.
NYC At possibly 286 after a Woman was fatally shot in West Village in Manhattan, it is below 2021 numbers YTD but still above 2019/20 numbers around the same time span
L.A at possibly 267 after LAPD fatally shot a young male yesterday in South L.A following a violent weekend which included shooting deaths in Downtown, and Hollywood
Chicago is at 444 below both 2020/21 numbers but above 2019 numbers.
St Louis is at 133 following a young toddler being accidentally shot and killed just south of the City/County border in Baden.
