No its not. 4th of July fireworks were rained out. Numerous baseball games were rained out. Went downtown Nashville to go to the Hard Rock Cafe, museum, and sightsee... guess what? Rained the whole day. The days we went riding quads? We couldnt go 10 minutes w/o having to winch someone out of the mud, it was never totally dry in the woods.
Sorry, pal, but I dont exaggerate. Why would I need to lie about things like that? If you lived in the south, youd understand what I was talking about. Its not rocket science! All you have to do is watch the weather reports.

Raised in Virginia and live in Florida... but no I've never lived in the south
Well it may have been a gross exaggeration if the poster said "every outdoor event rained out", but that's not what the poster said. I understand the excitement involved in responding to something you do not agree with, but let's make sure you understand what you are reading and know what you are responding to first.
Thank you, AZLiam. Im glad you understood what I was saying. Some people apparently like to take a statement, twist it, then tell people Im "exaggerating".
You'd be lucky if you get one or two monsoon storms per week in Phoenix; however, the humidity levels remain consistently high, whether or not there's a storm to curb diurnal heating.
For the most part, yes. However, this monsoon season (called a "nonsoon" due to lack of rain) we have had several breaks in the humidity, several days at or below 10%. Its been a nice break. Today the dewpoint is up a lot, and we might actually get rain tonight!
I do not care what anyone says--summers are way more tolerable in Tampa than Phoenix, despite the high humidity. In addition to daily afternoon thunderstorms, there are simply more "breaks," so to speak, from the heat and humidity in Florida than in Arizona--tropical storms and depressions, more cloud cover, more shade trees, etc.
Thats just your opinion, see? Id far prefer the dry heat to the cooler swamp that is Florida. Stepping out at night in Phoenix in June is far, far, far more comfy to me than a night in Tampa in June. Its all a matter of one's preferences.
And you currently live in Tampa? Yet you say I "exaggerate" when I say it rains a lot down south? Wow.
I think.... yep... Im done here.
There is a rainy season, and planning a lot of outdoor activities during that time is usually reserved for the.... less intelligent. So maybe that's your issue.
Been raining for weeks lately in Tampa with cloudy skies on and off (almost every day), so temps are on the cool side (definitely tolerable).
If FL is a swamp, AZ is Death Valley..
In FL, it just goes right back to being hot and humid after the rain stops.
