This is now two years in a row where DC has gotten off to a pretty decent start. It's becoming a more safer city. But that does not mean you cannot get clapped in DC. But it is definitely improving.

2006 & 2007 were bad years for Philadelphia, above normal for the last eleven years, and from the rate so far this year will be too.
When the guy who runs that site started it a few years ago, it only covered Maryland and DC. He's been expanding it a little bit each year to cover more areas. The last time I talked to him, he said if he does expand it again next year, it will cover NYC.
There was 53 murders in Juarez in between Thursday and Saturday
