Don't worry, buddy, your city still has a low crime rate. It's one of the safest cities, despite how tough its residents think they are

He probably believes this also if he thinks the annual most dangerous/safest cities list is on point:

City A ranks 1st in murder, 1st in assult, 1st in rape, 21st in robbery, 21st in car theft and 21st in burglary.

City B ranks 20th in murder, 20th in assult, 20th in rape, 1st in robbery, 1st in car theft and 1st in burglary.

Most dangerous/safest science would result in City B as more dangerous than City A. No one in their right mind would believe that based on those numbers and that's why they don't list the numbers. You have to buy the publication to see just how ridiculous their science is, or you can have basic common sense and understand it's not a barometer to what's safe or dangerous.

exactly and the fact that murder is not a random crime just shows that people need to really explore more if they believe a murderous city is the most dangerous.

honestly i rather be afraid of going to a city with a high robbery/rape rate then a city with a high murder rate. WHY?

simple robberies and rapes are mostly random while murders are usually between people who are involved in criminal behavior or have a history of it to begin with.
