Fukudome: 0 for October. What a bust that guy has been. And to think he made the all-star squad.

How do you take strike three like that? The ball was right over the plate.

The one Ward got was a ball for sure. I do not blame him for taking it. The ump wanted to go out and party on Rush Street.

I feel bad for the guy. He played so well for two months;after that he for the most part sucked at the plate. Why is Lou going with him? HE BETTER NOT START THE NEXT GAME.

Did Zell direct Lou to start Fukudome because of the money they are paying him?

...and in the post game show they talked about "the curse." F*&^ TBS.

Roll this around in your head for a bit: take away all the unearned runs and it's a 4-3 game, and that doesn't account for how the complexion of the game would have been completely different and how that might have changed the strategy and outcome -- for instance, there's no way Cotts would have ever seen the mound to give up a run (albeit charged to Z) and we might be watching the 10th inning right now. What the hell happened to the first-rate defense that played throughout the regular season?

WOW. Lou finally saw the light and has stated Fukudome is sitting the rest of the post-season. Too little too late, Lou. Wishing you'd brought up Hoffpauir yet, Lou?

You raise good points however you can not expect to win a game with 2 or 3 runs usually. The offense has sucked ass in the playoffs except for DeRosa,Lee, and Edmonds.

When I heard Hoffpauir was not on the postseason roster I was miffed. This guy has batted .342 for the Cubs this year and he is not on the roster...WTF?

He also had 25 homers in Iowa this year, 100 RBI,a slugging percentage of .752,and a .362 batting average. Those are pretty darn good numbers.

I feel for Zambrano. He pitched a great game and got zero offensive support. He found himself in a situation that Buerhle often finds himself in. Being the losing pitcher when he should get a win. I'm not a Cubs fan, but I do feel anxious for Cubs fans. The team has been stellar this year. What a shame if they don't get past this round. Hope is not lost, but the odds are against them. But again, this is baseball and anything can happen. The Sox being in the post season says it all. Who would have thought?
