Yep, I know a few VPs at major major companies, some very successful business owners, many PhDs, and a few CEOs of semi large companies who do it. Very surprising when you first find out.

Most people drink light beer by the way.

The casual drinker might sit down and drink 2 beers. The casual pot smoker doesn't sit down and smoke 2 joints back to back. It's a poor comparison.

Both pot and alcohol depend on what is in your system already, so not enough information. 2 little joints is not going to do a lot to you really unless the weed you have is really strong.

Unless you only consider a white collar job as one where the person has a something D after their name, this isn't true. Most white collar employees are subject to random drug tests, whether they happen or not is a different story but my guess is most white collar jobs do indeed have a drug test provision.

I started at my company nearly 12 years ago and was drug tested before I was hired, but never since, though the option is there if they wanted to test me.

FWIW I think pot should be legal and we should tax the hell out of it.

A proper comparison would be two hits off the pipe.

What does it mean that police will have the "option" of giving a ticket? Does that mean they can instead choose to arrest the guy if they feel like it?

Those aren't equivalent amounts just because they both have "two" in them. You could just as easily say that two hits off a bong doesn't mess up a person as much as two bottles of whiskey. Silly, isn't it?

Unfortunately, yes, it does appear that way.

I suspect it will have a great deal to do with impairment. Don't drive drunk or stoned.
