There are a number of people in powers of position from CEOs to business owners to politicians who privately do it. I think people would be surprised if they found out who does it or has done it/used to do it.

No, not really. There are drugs you could ingest or inhale that are more harmful and dangerous.

People that use it can't use it in public (Since its illegal to do so), so they become hermits on a Friday night and sit at home instead.

I can't tell you how many times in high school that people I knew would pass up doing fun stuff, because they felt that they couldn't smoke pot there. They always chose their stash of pot over their friends. The only way you could hang out with them is if you went to where they were at. No way would they meet up somewhere with you.

Pot turns people into clueless creatures and it gets annoying after the first 5 minutes of being around them. Especially if you don't smoke pot.
You've clearly never been on a burn cruise.

Pot is not a good drug, sorry!
I'm sure that you know a number of pot smokers who, knowing your attitude, simply choose not to share that part of their life with you. Statistically, it's almost certainly the case, and it means that the only pot smokers you know are people who are out of control, which completely skews your anecdotal evidence. It's as if the only drinkers you knew were alcoholics.

I've never used any illegal drug, and have no intent to start. But I do advocate decriminalization of pretty much all drugs.

That said, I think it's an odd coincidence that this news and the autopsy of the so-called "South Beach cannibal" finding only marijuana in his system come out the same day.

What I'm saying is that you can have two drinks and be fine. Smoke two joints, no matter if you are a casual user or abuser and see what that does to you.

I guarantee you that you will be way more coherent after drinking two drinks.

Harder drugs will not be decriminalized. They are dangerous...pot however, is not as dangerous as say alcohol, or any of those harder drugs like coke/crack.

That's my point. Yet one is legal and the other isn't.

That's like saying "There is no moderation when people are drunks."

There are people who use marijuana in moderation and there are people who abuse it (potheads). Similarly there are people who use alcohol in moderation and people who abuse it (drunks).

Yep; a lot of Ph.D.s, MDs and JDs, too. There's a reason drug testing isn't required for most white collar jobs. It would put a lot of the people who make the rules out of business.
