As I've said before they are all on the clock as far as I am concerned. Show some progress before 2012 or expect more voter change.
Somewhere down the line, Jerry will flip flop on this promise. I already knew he wasn't going to hold up to this promise.... the reason why I didn't vote for him.

The good outcome of this is we know which party will take the full blame or credit in the next 2 years.

So you wait for a democrat to bail us out again. Typical, Democrats always have to clean up the mess republicans create. Why aren't you mad at Schwarzenegger?

It'll be presented like this: "If you don't vote for this tax increase, we'll be forced to fire your kid's teacher and cut back fire protection to 3 days a week. But its your choice, voter."

Read the thread title, you will notice the use of the term Moonbeam, yet another poster who has no idea why that moniker was applied to Jerry Brown, but is undoubtedly internally convinced it is a negative.

Funny how what gave Moonbeam his name is now mainstream, yet the lower 20% still haven't figured it out.
I have never heard the word moonbeam as mainstream.
I was paying taxes in cali when moonbeam was the gov. The guy was an idiot back then and an old idiot now. He is a career politician and only got the job from his dads name recognition. Better hold onto your wallet with old moonbeam because its back to liberal out of control with no one to stop them.

The name "Moonbeam" came from his advocacy of a telecommunications satellite, something that is now mainstream worldwide.

And I guess you forget how the actual "tax and spend" liberals were disappointed that he was an "era of limits" fiscal conservative? Reagan even said that Jerry was more fiscally conservative than he'd been as governor.

I don't think that there'll be "out of control with no one to stop" the Legislature - but Brown might find it harder to deal with the current far more dysfunctional legislature of today than that of his time.

To be real, not as much as you think. While decidedly a factor, I think it more societal and sociological than fiscal since much of the funding comes from the feds.

I was always more concerned about what their influx did culturally.
