This was a pitchers dual with both Santana and Park tossing O's. However, Philly's sloppy play cost them the game with Feliz throwing the ball to 1st commiting an E, and allowing Delgado to score from first.

Feliciano, did a great job getting Ryan Howard to strike out in the 8th.

K-Rod looks like as if he is going to dominate in the NL

Great win tonight! New York looks to sweep the 2 game series tomorrow.

LETS GO METS!
Part of the ebb and flow of a season. Santana did what he is paid to do. No problem. Phils will still take the division.

It's true; over the course of a 162-game season, there will always be an ebb and flow. But isn't it annoying when pesky little facts get in the way of your dreams? If you recall, the Phillies won two divisional titles for the single, simple reason that the Mets collapsed. Subtract that from the equation and guess what? No division titles for Philadelphia.

So I guess you're counting on that to happen again.

I don't need to subtract anything. What happened happened. Whether you subscribe to the notion that the Mets lost the title - twice! - or that the Phillies won it - twice, the pesky little fact remains that Phillies ARE the World Effing Champions right now.

I don't really care if that happens, or what else happens.

I just know the most important thing that will happen this year is that the Phillies will win the division again.

How's that for facts?

Didn't know grapes were so sour in Queens.........

They're not... for those of us Mets fans who actually know something about baseball.

Your team ran into hard luck in the playoffs in 2007 and rebounded to win it all in 2008. They did that because they play the game the right way, and they deserved to win. The Mets don't do that, and until there are some real changes made most of our Septembers are going to look like the last two.

It doesn't make me feel good to post that, but there are homer fans, and then there are real baseball fans who know what's really going on... And what's really going on is that until someone proves them wrong, the Phillies are the best team in the National League.

Mets 7, Phillies 2. Francisco Rodriguez with his fourth save in as many days. Yo, Sunil's Dad--I don't need to subtract anything from that!

No, you need to add to that.

It was not 7-2. It was 7-5.

Across town Rizzuto used to mark his scorecard WW (Wasn't Watching) when he wasn't paying attention. What do you mark yours?
