If George Steingrabber errr, I mean Steinbrenner was still running the ship instead of his buffoon son Hank, I'm thinking Santana would have been wearing pinstripes next year. Hank Steinbrenner in charge equals bad things for the Yankees. Mark my words. Although I'm a Yankees fan, I'm happy for the Mets.
Whoa, there is still a lot that the Mets need.
Here are the question marks...
A new catcher who hits about 40 points less than his predecessor.
A 1stbaseman who disappeared last season.
A 2ndbaseman with two bad knees.
A shortstop who only knew how to pop-up during September.
A left fielder who has to be able to play at least 125 games.
A right fielder?
A bullpen?

Good for the Mets! Now just get him to proclaim in Spring Training that the "Mets are the team to beat" (and I do not mean *with a blunt object*, either.)
Good luck Mets.
The Twins must have really wanted him out of the AL, to accept the offer from the Mets and not the Sox or Yanks.
