Rumor just be click bait.... Tony Stewart keeps 2 charters Dale Jr buys Gene Haas out of his half of those 2 charters and Tony and Dale are partners in Dale Jrs new cup team. Tony could be hands off and Jr could be all hands on like he wants.

If Jr gets back in, this could be the way. Jr keeps saying how expensive the charters are, etc....
OTH, I like where Jr is right now. JRM has been a fantastic driver resource and being a pipeline of drivers to CUP is very important to Jr.
Being outside of CUP, Dale can be more opinionated on his podcasts and help steer NASCAR somewhat, such as reviving old tracks, etc...
Dale does seem comfortable where he is right now though.
So, with the SHR closing.. Out come the conspiracy theorists. The latest is..
The Kurt Busch Curse.
Kurt drove the 97 at Roush. afterwards, the team was shut down / rebranded to the 26 and Roush Racing pretty much began a long, slow descent that they are only now coming out of
He drove the 2 (and 22) at Penske.. Kinda hard to point a finger at anything wrong there.
He went to Phoenix racing.. Which shut down after he left for..
Furniture Row Racing.. Which shut down a few years after he left. But, not before winning a championship.
He then went to Chip Ganassi.. Which sold out to Trackhouse
Then on to SHR.. Which is closing.
Finally.. Look out, Denny.. Maybe the fact that 23XI ended his career means he won't end that team?
Correction, I had to double check. Youre right, but he sold the company, but is now back in operation.
The remnants of the old Phoenix racing are now the #15 car with Rick Ware Racing. Charter went from Finch to Scott to somewhere else to Rick Ware. Pretty sure there was another stop between Scott and Ware.
I haven't heard of Finch getting back into NASCAR other than he's sponsored folks a few times and back when the "Kyle Busch Bounty" happened in the truck series in '19 or so.. He put a truck in the field.
Of course, the old race shop is.. a roofing company?

Yep. IIRC, he builds ARCA cars for his son now, so I suspect there will be a Xcar in the future maybe. He does apparently do something with Jeremy Clements and the 1 X team. I talked with him, what was it late Novemeber last year and he had been up to that shop, but didnt say why. Just happen to recognize him at the Ford dealership getting the oil changed in my Mustang.
Haven't see much if any chatter here about Kyle Larson's potential waiver.
Since I'm a #5 fan, I hope he does get it. But I would also have the same view for any driver who attempted what he did. I realize that NASCAR needs to control what their drivers/stars do for the overall good of the sport. But I would argue that what Larson did was good for the sport. NASCAR's two biggest TV partners thought so and made a lot of money off of it, which in effect made money for the sponsors. Could you imagine what it would have been like if Kyle won Indy and then came back and won the 600?
Kyle lost a lot of points, which is a good thing, he should have. That's a pretty decent penalty, even with Kyle having wins already. Maybe a bigger point penalty is needed, or make Kyle start 16th in the playoffs. You do need something to make sure drivers do put their main job first.
If NASCAR does not allow the #5 team in the playoffs, it will hurt NASCAR more than Kyle.

I rarely think Hamlin is right, but I think he is dead on here ....
It would be interesting to know who the individuals are that make the call and who it is holding it up.
I think Denny speaks to a much deeper issues with NASCAR than just Larsons waiver. But then it is homosexual pride month, so NASCAR has probably been preoccupied.
