Then I think we can also agree that Atlanta business owners better start stocking up on plywood and fire extinguishers.

Hopefully Georgia rolls out the national guard in full force.

You got plenty of time. If this trial even starts by January 2021 consider it fast progress

He could have said. He's hit/he's down/dont shoot I hit him.............any number of things reflecting what actually happened. None of them would sound warm and fuzzy.

This statement will be totally meaningless imo.
Yeah, I was thinking "What's he supposed to say in this instance?" I would raise the eyebrow had he shouted slurs at the corpse but it's obvious that the DA is reaching here.

Yep, this entire fiasco is in a different class from Floyd, Sean Bell, Arbery, etc where the cops were being reckless paranoid knuckleheads..... This case? There's nothing here but an unfortunate outcome. If I were chasing someone and they barely missed hitting me with my own taser and I run into the rear of a car, I would be thankful and relieved that my partner backed me up with using necessary force. Looking at the start of the encounter, this wasn't a racial thing but add this to the list of potential reasons for Atlanta to see more chaotic behavior (Floyd trial, Arbery trial, and this).

I certainly against crooked cops but this city did see so called Black cops rough up college students. I'm certainly not trying to save these so called White cops but people will see this as racist when it is LEO self defense (now I have to take a shower).

Do you really expect them to be able to count during a highly stressful event? You would be a great police academy instructer. "Hey the most important thing in any combat situation where projectile weapons are used, is you must count every shot that is fired at you at as to prevent you from killing a suspect when he is out of ammo. Since at that the moment of last discharge the suspect weapon is no longer a threat."

The best part about the entire taser thing is how organizations that have for years pushed for them to be considered lethal weapons are all far left. Tasers were a symbol of police brutality until Brooks used one.

A taser is deadly - both in practical and legal terms.

So evidently the cop’s stepmother got fired from her job in Atlanta today. People are taking the guilt by association thing a bit far lately

Rolfe is now being held in the Gwinnett County Jail. I hope he’s in protective custody.

Even in Georgia that's a good wrongful termination suit.

Not sure about that. Isn't Georgia employment at will? Unless its a specifically protected situation, any reason is good enough. Or no reason.

However, if its true, that's a company that deserves a boycott. I'm sure the police unions will spread it around if its actually the case.
