I'm not sure why being attracted to women is equated to being tough. There are plenty of heterosexual guys who aren't very tough at all, and gay guys you definitely wouldn't want to mess with.

I just explained this earlier. If you put 20 black men on an island with 20 black women & infect the percieved alphas with any disease eventually everyone one will be infected. All you have to do is infect the perceived alpha. I don't feel many black women are good at choosing who they should allow in their bodies unprotected. Many HIV bisexual black men are successful and fit the description most black women desire. Its really scary.

She may not be sleeping with 60 men, but she would conceivably be sleeping with a man who is sleeping with 60 other women. Its essentially an issue of being slutty by proxy rather than by default or by design.

This, to me drives at the heart of the matter: The absolute and destructive monopoly that the player, pimp, fly guy persona has on black women...and the presumed tunnelvision that huge pool of black women would have to develop during screening when selecting him as a mate over other, more morally viable prospects.

Why is the decision making process so poorly executed by these women? As has been rehashed over and over before, I think fatherless homes plays a large part in both the poor mate selection by many black women, and a large part in influencing the development of superficial attributes that the small pool of monopolizing men uses to attract them.

Lastly, and this is a touchy subject with most people, but there is a serious over emphasis on sex game in the black community. All it takes for many women to let those one or two lowlifes they are smitten by raw dog repeatedly, is for him to be a pornstar performance wise. Thats all well and swell in the heat of the moment, but at the end of the day, they're sleeping with him for the same reason the other 60 women are sleeping with him..because his sex game is vicious, irrespective of his character.
The thing that I hear a lot is that black women want to have what they think white women have. Many of them are not attracted to white guys, but to many black woman white guys are seen as successful. They want a mr black successful...that's fine and dandy but when
100 black women want to be intimate with the same 15 men & 8 of those 15 have aids it won't be long before the other 7 are at risk. Look at all the nfl nba dudes with children with muliple women & the average joe black man with no children.

It is true there are a lot of gay black men in Atlanta but obviously not all black guys are gay. It's also true that straight men and women can be HIV positive.

I would think the wiser approach would be to leave the straight/gay thing out of it.

Well you really can't leave the straight/gay thing out of it! Gay black men in Atlanta aren't sleeping with these women but bisexual black men are though.
The issue is one of denial by black men when it comes to their sexual preferences.
It's just the mindset of many bisexual black men that it's "just sex" therefore it's "meangingless" and doesn't make me "gay" or "h o m o sexual" who are in love with each other.

I have a friend who's is gay but will not admit it. In his mind he has a choice between male and female. He lives in NY.

There are many many black men who are married and engage in homosexual behavior. They do not consider themselves gay. Period!! When I was in college in New York, I was astounded at the # of black gay males who were popular, dataing women and were sleeping with men. The school was Stony Brook. In fact I was hit on by a few of the men. I was like WTF, because my idea of a gay male was well, someone very feminate and flamboyant. This was not the case at Stony Brook. The stigma and harsh treatment in the black community againsts gays is what drives this. It's the reason someone like Tyler Perry (who is gay) would never admit to it. Look at the gospel singers and the black church (Tonex, D. McClurkin, James Cleveland, Eddie Long, etc...). Tonex was married folks. MCClurkin had a child after his gay "confession".

If blacks would just let folks live, stop casting a negative stigma on black gays, this would help. But this jumping from gender to gender has to stop.

For this reason I am now for gay marriage. Let them marry and be happy. But if you as a man, sleep with men, PLEASE, LEAVE BLACK WOMEN ALONE!!!!!!!!!!

I am still friends with him and he sometimes talks of marriage to a woman. If he could just find the right one. Please. The dude is gay and is not interested in heterosexual love. Now he may one day get married to a woman. For children or business reasons. But the dude is gay.

No one has to tell me Tyler is gay. He is. And I do not care that he is. But Tyler is not interested in women. Neither was Luther Vandross. Please let's stop lying to ourselves.
Another great post.
