You would have to invest in a very large fleet of lawn mowers.

Now that's what you call a Chatham Built Home! As much junk as I have, though, I don't know if I could fit it all into a 6 car garage.

However, if I were looking for some acreage I might come a little closer in town. There are still some cottages in Buckhead sitting on fairly sizable tracts of 30 acres or so. And I still lean toward those old houses built in the 1920s.

Virginia Highlands, Glenwood Park, and Ormewood - all beautiful areas, but ultimately it would have to be Inman Park for me. I'm from Los Angeles, and this area is a bit like Melrose Ave, but several times more family friendly, and certainly with a stronger sense of community. For shopping and dining it's perfect with the Edgewood Retail District (B&N, Best Buy, Gamestop, Kroger, Lowe's), and in the neighborhood, there's Sevananda, AA, Criminal Records, Moods Music, A Capella Books, Vortex, etc.

Can we go back in time too? I would live where I grew up...50 acres in Alpharetta before it got too overcrowded.

Even though I'm not a Buckhead person, I covet this house. Neel Reid + Phillip Schutze collaboration, what looks to be all original features, beautiful patina - swoon.
