Are there any areas of Arizona that have cooler summer areas rather than the 125 degree Phoenix/ Scottsdale valley?

Also, the towns must be inexpensive housing, no gangs, tolerant of everything, great shopping, good schools, friendly people and cheap
taxes!

Any places like that in Arizona?

Not to answer my own question but, after reading some of the posts on the Arizona site, Prescott seems to be a great cooler summer area with a nice area to boot!
However, I would appreciate hearing from the locals and their favorites towns.

It never gets to 125 in the valley, on occasion that happens along the Colorado River Bullhead Cuty or Yuma. If you are looking for a cool area look @ Northen AZ or along the Mogillon Rim. You shouldn't run into gangs out of Phoenix/Tuscon.

I don't think there's places like that anywhere. Tolerant of everything would mean being tolerant of gangs as well

That was a serious question? Not much "tolerant of everything" in Arizona. You might want to consider Canada or Europe. Or perhaps Norway or Sweden.

Payson would be at the top of my list. Not too small or big. Around 5000', so it nice in the summer and not too cold in the winter. It's a little over an hour drive to PHX area. It's got natural pine trees, too. It's also got a nice little airport, which is kinda important to me

Kingman comes to mind. Climate and crime are fine. Schools are pretty good, depending on the grade level, but all are getting better. Taxes are super low, and people are very friendly here (I'm fairly new here, so I know). Lot of weirdos, so even I fit in. Shopping is great, at least on the internet it is. But being 90 minutes from Vegas helps as well, not to mention 30 minutes to Bullhead/Laughlin, and an hour from Lake Havasu City.

Tell me where's a place like that ... anywhere!!

Isn't "tolerant" of everything' kind of a paradox since you are asking for "perfection" from a town and its people?
