Amazing to see the church and monestary out in the middle of nowhere.
Yeah it's also my favourite place to visit

I feel Moundville should be on the list - both the sunrise and sun sets not to mention just plain the Mound state park is breathtaking Since technically Mountain Brook is a subdivision not a town.

My favorite place would be Cheaha State Park. It is a heavily wooded area that will be breath-taking when the fall colors arrive. They have a dining area with a great view. The kicker is that this is the highest observation point in Alabama at 2407'. Tie this trip in with Talladega Speedway, and you have a very full day.

The races at Talladega and Sloss Furnace. I think they have a haunted house at the furnace if I'm not mistaken? Any of the beautiful waterfalls in the state. I'll be Bama bound next week and I can't wait!
