It depends on what you like.

Urban, suburban, or rural?

Mountains, hills, flatlands, or coast?

Warm climate or four seasons?

Depending on your background, it may be hard to get a job without living here. Also many regular jobs here start at $10 an hour if you are lucky. If you are in the medical field you should be able to find a job. Best paying jobs are on Redstone Arsenal or NASA which includes contractors.

There are lots of smaller cities and towns all around Huntsville where living is cheaper. You will be surprised at the cost of living here as it is much lower than many places

The state employment website is al.joblink.

Any suggestions as to a middle class but cheap housing area within 1/2 hr. of Mobile or Chickasaw? I love peace and quiet! Thanks
