Hey everybody, it's been quite a while since I have started my own thread on here lol. Anyway, I just wanted to hear some recommendations on some of the restaurants around G-Town (Haven't been up in Georgetown in years...) where I can take my real close friend out to eat after heading to the AMC theater and perhaps a little post-birthday shopping (Might buy her a gift). I'm taking her out on a date (It will be my first date TBH ) the day (July 20th; Saturday) after her 21st birthday (July 19th) and me being the romantic that I am , I would love to know what kind of restaurants offer a romantic setting. I don't want restaurants that offer pre-dominantly seafood (She's allergic) and I want a place that's casual in attire code and NOT the white-tablecloth type of attire policy. I'm cool if the place has a bar (I won't officially be of drinking age until Sept. 26th this year) and if she wants a glass, I'll treat her to it Let me know if you guys want any more info. Oh, and I my dining budget is basically from $ to $$. Thank you and Happy Fridays!!!
If you both are into Spanish tapas, Bodega could be a good choice.. their sangria is really good if the lady wants a drink, and you could get the virgin version of it.
Il Canale for Italian..classy place but not very overpriced, and some of the best Napolean-style pizzas I've had.
Bangkok Joes for Thai - and it's right on the waterfront, so it'd make for a nice walk before/after the meal. You've got a couple of to-go dessert places in the neighborhood, if you want to fit that into your evening.

Good luck!
Thank you PK12 I'll definitely look up Bodega.
Never had Neapolitan pizza before but they do be looking good. How do they taste?
And I've been keeping Bangkok Joe's in mind, it looks really good!! And I will definitely take her out for dessert too. I was thinking about Georgetown Cupcake but seeing as this will be in the heart of summer...on a Saturday night at that...I just know the line will most likely stretch out the door. Pintango Gelato looks good too, anyone have any thoughts on this place? Any other dessert suggestions?
I went to Taste of Georgetown last Saturday and tried Georgetown Cupcakes and Sprinkles cupcakes. I liked Sprinkles better.
