If I were you I wouldn’t overdo it with the date, esp if it is your first one with this girl and you’re trying to make a steady relationship out of it. By all means be a gentleman and show her a good time, give her a nice treat, but be fairly nonchalant at the same time. Try to keep it in a relaxed, fun atmosphere with no excessive formalities…and DONOT let her know that youre a hopeless romantic!!!
What kinda gift were you trying to buy her? I wouldn’t overkill it with something very valuable, might make her feel awkward … unless ofcourse, if you have a very strong feeling that she likes you back , in which case it is fine to splurge more.

Thanks for the precautions. But yeah, we both do feel strongly for each other especially with all our affectionate overtones while talking to each other via phone/text lol. On top of that, we've known each other since 10th grade. But nonetheless, I'll try to take it slow and laid-back yet exciting As for the gift, I guess I'll play it safe by giving her two Hallmark cards, one celebrating her 21st and maybe another one with a romantic tone. What do you think?
You're very welcome. I hope you get great weather and have a wonderful date.
Thank you and from the looks of both the news forecasts and the weather app on my phone, it looks Saturday will look absolutely beautiful!! Better than today and the next two days that's for sure lol
Alright everybody, I would like to say thank you so much for shining in on suggestions for this most special event of mine And I for dinner, I have officially decided to go with Bangkok Joe's! She loves general Asian and Indian food (She's 3rd/4th generation Indian herself) as well as Soul food but has never tried Thai food before even though she heard that it's good. So I'm gonna introduce her to my second most favorite Asian cuisine Spicy Thai food! She likes spicy food too. Should be a nice new experience for her tastes. And as for dessert, I'm gonna treat her to Baked & Wired sometime afterwards.
Good to know, all the best! I would recommend getting the drunken noodles bowl with minced chicken, very spicy and delicious
Thank you. And my God I love drunken noodles! I've been looking at their menu online and Bangkok Joe's got all lot of great stuff. And since she'll be new to Thai food, I've been trying to figure out what will be the best introduction dish for her. Like a drunken noodles bowl or Pad Thai (No seafood dish of course, got to make sure I inform them that they must cleanse the grill of any residue of seafood). I think she'll love it!
I’d say do it family style - get one dish of drunken noodles and one of red curry.. standard introductory items to Thai food. Pad thai doesn’t cut it if you wanna eat spicy, IMO
