I personally know 5 people (4 in their late 60's and 70's, one in her thirties) who have gotten covid. This disease has no rhyme or reason. It reminds me of the polio epidemic in the 50's. That disease affected some people and not their brothers or sisters or friends who did all the same things they did.
These are the 5 people:
1. My friend who lives across the street, said it felt like a very bad flu, ran a fever, and recovered at home in a few days.
2. Another friend's daughter who is a nurse. Same symptoms and recovery as number 1, above.
3&4. Husband and wife friends of ours. He felt really sick and passed out on his lawn waiting for the ambulance. Both were hospitalized for 5 days. She was given hydroxychloroquine in the hospital, he was not. He had a full recovery, she had some weird after affects that lasted for several weeks, inability to walk, losing her hair.
5. Fellow I knew at work for over 20 years, retired with his wife to New Hampshire. He got covid, she did not. He was hospitalized and put on a ventilator. Two weeks ago when I first heard, I sent them a get well card. Two days ago they removed the ventilator and he passed quickly. I sent his wife a condolence card.
Two of my three kids and their children have not been careful about social distancing. They still socialize with their friends. My wife and I and another daughter have been serious about social distancing, wearing masks outdoors, wiping down groceries which we have delivered to the porch. The odds of getting covid are not great, but we are not willing to roll the dice.
Covid lives on surfaces for at least 24 hours, some say even longer than that. Shopping cart handles are the worst. I disinfect them and my hands before i use it.
OP: Could very well be Vit C, Higher D levels, Zinc and others are missing in your life. I take most days 5K to 10K of D3 and K2 daily and have been since I came up deficient in 2006..I'm 82, no mask and not much distancing. I am a supplement/vitamin nut and started about 30 yrs ago, so was my mother.... I've not had a cold or flu in over 30 yrs and I also thank my wonderful grape seed extract which I've been taking for 25 yrs.....I have a ton of info in the Health area on my experiences...
And it's true all those poor old souls in the "homes" are not for the most part getting good supplement supports.... Caught up with a cousin yesterday and she's 95 and now in a home as she can't take care of herself and she takes all of them....she's got a good mind, can walk but lonely for company as they won't let her have company, like her children.....
And a certain political person talked about zinc very early on, I heard HIM, didn't any of you....there was a run on zinc supplements for some months...I had to wait for over a month to get a bag of zinc lozenges, I do take zinc anyway, but many do not...it's a healer.

it gives me constipation. I tolerate it.
The pill.
Ate a whole can (cheap type) of tuna fish for breakfast this morning. I think I got my D vit today.
Tuesday, I took The Test. Reply came back in 12 hours. Negative. So now I get to do the stress-treadmill-cardio test today.
Age 70. occasional soreness in left arm and taking nitro more often than doctor likes.
Before the shots started I joked that I was in the general public group and probably wouldn't get my vaccine until 2023.
But seeing how it has rolled out that might have been more of a prediction rather than a joke.
