Religion and science are very much related. The printing press was essential for spreading the Protestant Reformation. It enabled the direct relationship to Jesus via printed Bibles that didn't require a priestly intermediary.
Christianity has evolved due to science, even though the fundamental message of Jesus dying for our sins hasn't changed.
just as there are different genres of music,
and there are different books in the library,
and different specialties in science,
so too there are different paths of religion and spirituality.
it is utterly irrational (and amusing) to say there can only be one path of religion,
or one genre of music,
or one branch of science,
or one book in the library.
That is your belief, most Christians and Muslims disagree about there being more than one path of religion. John 14:6, for example, no one comes to the Father except through me (meaning Jesus).
It is utterly irrational (and amusing) and tedious that you once again use your false comparison to claim mutually exclusive beliefs are not mutually exclusive.
different genres of music are not "mutually exclusive"
neither are different fields of science, or books in the library, or flavors of ice cream "mutually exclusive"
But religions often are.

same for paths of religion and spirituality.
We are not talking about religions existing, we are talking about them being true. Either a god created everything (Abrahamic religions), everything IS god (Hinduism, Pantheism), or gods are created by existence (Daoism). These are (once again) mutually exclusive beliefs, they can not all be true.
It is fun to see that you think this is strange. Wisdom is what it is regardless of it's source.
I think it's easier for an atheist to see that. I have seen believers like that as well so that ability to perspective take must fundamentally be a personality trait.
Edit: there is something called the big 5 personality traits. I score high on openness. Maybe I will ask other people who can do that to take that test.
Belief in god is not the requirement of religion. It is the understanding, illumination, of the identity of the self with what you call god. Those who understand and experience the truth of that can see that in the teachings of all religions with variations. Buddhism does not accept a self, consciousness. Yet it addresses suffering. Who suffers and knows that he suffers? If the teaching is to detach yourself from your desire, which self does that? The one that desires or the one that knows?
This reminds me of a simple test for cognition. It is a bunch alphabet letters and numbers and one link is demonstrated, connecting the number 1 to A and the patient is asked to do the rest. Some see the pattern immediately and some, otherwise very smart people, fail to see it. They just see multiple numbers and letters.
