Who will sit with me in the sacred circle of peace, harmony and understanding.
Among my culture we have a tradition that has existed for centuries.
Whenever we come together to discuss things of great importance it is always done within the sacred circle. Anyone is welcome to come and sit within the sacred circle and participate in the discussions, however all animosity, hatred and prejudice are left outside of the sacred circle, these things are not allowed within its confines and each individual who steps within the sacred circle is expected to help govern it and be responsible to see to it that peace, harmony, and understanding prevail within the sacred circle.
So now my brothers and sisters, I invite you to step within the sacred circle and tell us about your beliefs or non-beliefs without criticism or animosity to one another.
Remember, all are welcomed here who come with a good heart.

I suppose I can start (or continue, if someone posts before I finish this ).
When a Wiccan (solitary or coven) casts a circle, it's considered a place where the divine and the mortal meet, and it contains the energy of all those participating in the ritual. Generally, crossing the circle without first opening a 'doorway' in the perimiter will dispell the circle and disperse the energy within before it should be.
Likewise, a circle is considered a somewhat sacred shape: it has no true beginning or end, and often symbolizes rebirth and constant renewal.
I suppose that I have no belief. I honor those that have them, truly I do, regardless of what shape their religion takes. In fact, I somewhat envy them their faith. It would be nice to have a soft place to land.
As for me, I don't know why, I just never have had faith. Even as a child, I couldn't connect with the abstract. So, I teach my children religion (as I said, I envy those that have faith, and I am very pleased that my eldest dd has a lot of it) and I sit in church but I feel like an imposter. Conversly, when my daughter was born I knew that there had to be a God to make birth the miracle that it is. But how to connect? I really don't know.

Thanks for the invitation friend!! I gladly step in.
May the entire mankind step in the sacred circle one day, where we could hold our hands, all together and chant, let there be light, let there be hapiness, let there be peace, let the divine love of the great Spirit be born in our hearts.

You need to search within friend, first you need to still the mind, to do that you might use the help of devotion arousing music, prayers or mantrams, meditation is very useful too, to feel connected with the divine and feel his presence in your own heart.

i really admire you for giving your child the chance to believe in something--even if you dont. my parents did the same for me, and i am glad to have faith in something and the comfort that i find there when i need it.
i dont think you are an imposter--your heart seems pure.
thanks for the invite--i would love to step in the circle
This is a good beginning. camping, do not feel bad because you say you have no belief, for no one knows when that time will come that you will have one and if that time never comes then do not worry over that, it just means it was not the right time for you. Only the Creator knows when the right time for each and every individual will be.

It is interesting how the belief in Wiccan is somewhat similar to my Native American belief, I do have a question? When did the Wiccan belief start and from what other beliefs does it draw from? Perhaps you can enlighten us.

You are welcome to join us and if I may ask, what is your belief?
