More Sola Scriptura nonsense! Apparently, whatever the hell this "New Age" is it has become the official bogeyman of fundamentalist Christianity.

Long before any "New Age" there were those who knew Christ better than those who relied only on the literal, surface meaning of scripture.

As the Divine Names of Dionysius put it:

Quote:
Let us lift up our eyes towards the steep height, so far as the effluent light of the Divine Scriptures grants its aid, and, as we strive to ascend unto those Supernal Rays, let us gird ourselves for the task with holiness and the reverent fear of God. For, if we may safely trust the wise and infallible Scriptures, Divine things are revealed unto each created spirit in proportion to its powers, and in this measure is perception granted through the workings of the Divine goodness, the which in just care for our preservation divinely tempereth unto finite measure the infinitude of things which pass man’s understanding.
My emphasis: 1) Bible is a great help & aid, but only that. 2) Persons only know divinity according to our individual abilities, which vary greatly over time and between persons.

52“Woe to you lawyers! For you have taken away the key of knowledge (gnōseōs) ; you yourselves did not enter, and you hindered those who were entering.”
Same problem.

Yeah, I never really understood "New age". Does that mean we have new data so we modified a belief?

They are only here to serve.
Not all shall pass through.

No, that’s not what ‘new age’ means.
Your beliefs fit under the umbrella of New Age beliefs and yet you haven’t bothered to learn what it is? That does not speak well of your knowledge about your own worldview.

No, I am not a believer so I don't much care about much past what you are saying your god is. You look at confidence (strong faith) and I look at mechanisms (how it works).
