Wow you're really negative aren't you? You severely underestimate the human spirit.
I believe the Bible.
But seriously....look at pop culture. How long do things last? Do you remember parachute pants? Big hair? Michael Jackson's Thriller? How about Billy Ray Cyrus? MC Hammer? The Spice Girls?
How long does ANYTHING last before people forget about it?
We have nothing on the ancient Israelites. They saw God act, and after a few days of being without Moses they made a golden calf to worship.
if god wants people to know he exists why not just show himself?
"This is creation. All that is going on today, only men are blind to see it. They can not pause long enough to go out into the wilderness where God has provided every sparrow enough to eat and to spare, and contemplate for even an hour the wonderful world they live in."
----John Muir
John Muir saw God. But then he discovered where to look.

Yes fads come and go but seeing a god would forever be burned into everyone's memories, if you believe the bible like you say and that your god is all-knowing, all-seeing, all-powerful then you have to understand that there is absolutely no reason for him NOT to show himself and prove us all wrong. If he is all-powerful then he could most definitely prove himself to the entire world at one time, no problem. It's not a whole lot to ask.
As believers, we know thatGod shows Himself through scripture and the Holy Spirit that dwells from within.
Forgive the obscure fanboy reference, but i can't help but be reminded of the classic Star Trek episode, Return of the Archons, in which the Enterprise visits a world ruled over by a reclusive religious leader, Landru, who exerts absolute control over the will of every individual via hooded figures known as "lawgivers".
When one of the lawgivers declares "you must be absorbed" and zaps you with the rod they carry, you become a glassy-eyed robot and are referred to as "of the Body" as opposed to "not of the Body". At the time I first saw it I was probably 11 or so years old at best and completely missed the symbolism and what was being brilliantly parodied -- and subtly enough that the plot summary below mostly misses the point and speaks of it in anti-war terms, although it admits it as also anti-religious.
So all I can say, Perry, is "peace, joy and tranquility be unto you".
No we won't. You place your hopes in the obscure. Once you're dead, you're dead. Only the living after you will know you're dead, you however will have no idea that you died, you just cease to exist.
No judgement, no replay of your life, perhaps your brain will give you a review of your life before it ceases to function.
Sorry you were duped.
