(Wish that our replies didn't have to be at least 10 characters. Sometimes a single picture is the most appropriate.)

Since this thread is about thread drift, let's arbitrarily move to an entirely new topic. Open to your suggestions.

Stillwater Townie has convinced me that I should run for office here in Tulsa...
Let's talk about my campaign, then drift into something much more interesting
after 1 post.

Your campaign can be on forming a 51st state. The CDF state. You can be our el presidente and CEO. And Synopse can be your campaign manager.

My mother told me that when I was a little child I would talk to the trees and flowers in the field......not just talk, but hold a conversation where she could only hear one side. I was never afraid of cemeteries for some reason. I could feel the presence of the spirits there. I have also been in places where I could feel pain and find out later there was a tragedy there. I recall once being at a place in the White Mountains in New Mexico and suddenly feeling such a sense of tremendous sorrow and sadness that it brought tears to my eyes. I later learned that an apache village had been wiped out from smallpox near there. I find as I get older that I can hear the voices in the cemetery more clearly. I lost that when I hit my mid teens. I guess the world was impacting me more than I thought. Now that I am nearing retirement and starting to slow down, I find these things are being felt more and more. There is a young hickory in the woods behind the house that I am fond of........I think I need to listen to it more.

I got something interesting...i think

Let's talk about some of the strange things people do.

First off we just moved in to a new community, and you were given two trees on your front yard.........Well......some of the people tore out the tree that was in front of the front door. Why? we were told that it was considered bad luck to have a tree right in front of the front door.
These people didn't replant the tree, they pulled them out and threw them in the trash
