Speaking of pancakes....

Now that we have a fridge and a stove,
I think it's time for Karen to make us those most EXCELLENT
pancakes that schousse makes. I really enjoyed those....

She's also going to need the recipe for that excellent white sauce
for biscuits and gravy...

And of course we're going to have to get grits!

Yes, I have been known to sanp a few here and there. I like the old country cemetaries best. The great big modern ones are okay too, but some of the ones way out in scrub country seem to tell a story closer to home.

Here's a pic I took at Point Lookout, Maryland. This is a memorial to Civil War soldiers who died in a prisoner of war camp there.
