I have been told it's
Nothing new. It's what Democrats do....

It is disappointing how the city was run so quickly into the ground
after Giuliani and Bloomberg spent decades combined turning it around.
The city has returned to the high Crime, high Inflation, poverty and poor
quality of life comparable to that of the 70's. I know. I lived thru these trying
times. I thought after being cleaned up this may be a nice place to live out my
days and it felt good for a few short years. Now? This is no longer the city
in which I am looking to rest my bones. I too along with the other half
million (who have already left ) am looking to call home anywhere but N.Y.C.

Consider the D.C. metro, if you want to reside in a walkable location with very good transit and lots of amenities. The Wharf, https://www.wharfdc.com/ is a great area of the District.

The DC metro area's cost of living is reasonable and the travel time to NYC is under 40 minutes by plane, so it will be very easy to visit friends and family or for them to visit you.

No problemo. More room for "migrants".

Correction. The city lost 5% of its productive, tax paying population. The welfare class doesn’t leave and keeps growing as a share of NYC residents.

With Covid and the pandemic, all cities mostly lost population. The years 2020 - 2022 were brutal for people mostly moving out of big cities, due to fear of catching the pandemic, etc.

I'd expect NYC to grow once again in the future, population-wise.

It’s growing as we speak. Look at the migrant crisis.

Will be lots of taco stands in few years. A 3rd world city. Glamour is finished.

Remember, Manhattan GAINED population.
People fled only Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx...and that is if the Post can be trusted to report the truth, which remains, as always, DEBATABLE.
