Five days and a few hours for us...then the blessed relief of the move being over.....can someone recommend a good place in PI or Litchfield for a spa day for a very pooped transplant???

Well to be honest with you I don't feel comfortable telling the actual location, but we will be living in downtown Myrtle Beach.
Didn't want to make you feel uncomfortable, just wondering what community. We had 3 houses built down there, 2 in North Village in Little River and 1 in Cameron Village, but lost all 3 because being unable to sell our house here in PA...... Maybe someday we will be lucky enough to make the move.....
Florence? Why would any one that wants to live at the beach move to Florence? Its 70 miles away and is realistically an hour and a half drive. Hwy 501 traffic on a Friday afternoon to get to the beach? No thanks.
Also guys I don't get a choice any more lol a lease has already been signed so i'm obligated to go. There really will be no more searching! I'm finally ready to move on to the next chapter in my little ongoing moving saga.

I think its great you managed that between you and the owner. It seems a better way most of the time.

If you are in a condo/townhome you still would have their HOA's. If you managed to find a home in downtown MB I hope it is in a good area. Some areas have issues that I would be afraid to live with.
But, it sounds like you are thrilled and you have searched the entire east coast, south.
There is so much to do here you will never be bored. Smiling Faces, Beautiful Places....Enjoy!
Been "dreaming" about moving to Carolina for about 20 years now. Well, now it's reality. We purchased land, and now we're in the beginning process of building our home in Murrells Inlet. The house will be ready in 6 months, and we will be moving in next July. We have to wait to let the kids finish the school year. Needless to say.....CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Our daughter loves the homes being built in that area too. We are in Murrells inlet many times each week. I should live there although I love my community a bunch.
Well, "the desk" has landed and now I need a little help. Can someone please direct me to a source for a hard copy of a good local street map for Pawleys Island and Litchfield? I went to all the drug stores, several vacation rental offices and one hotel with no luck. I thought I would find one in one of those freebie publications, but the only one I came across was very basic- for tourists looking to get from point a to point b, not much for detail.

Call your local taxi company. They might give you an old map for free since they're probably using some sort of a GPS system in their cabs. Good luck!!
