Haven’t gotten anything so far, weather.com says 1-3 inches now for my area in Roseville. My Radar app just changed the lines for precipitation, went from 4 inches to 2. Chicago is 75 degrees now and Des Moines is only 37, large temp difference in 330 miles.

There is no set date, however it solely depends on how much snow there is on the ground, and if trails can be used without doing any damage.

This is fitting. I’ve only plowed snow twice since last February 18th. Once in October and once in November.

I would prefer deep snow, I won't be spending money in the Northwoods this winter if there isn't 1-2 feet on the ground- not worth my time.

Better plan on the Northwoods, the snow is on the way, not if but when. Besides, I just bought a large snow blower, the first one have ever had, so let it snow. LOL It is a TORO.

Anyone else see the meteor?

[OK, I know it's not 'weather' per se, but astronomical events are often included in meteorology.

I caught a brief glimpse of it this morning while driving, facing north, in southern Minnesota.

It was greenish-yellow, and reminds me of the only other fireball I've ever seen, one outside the windshield as we drove to go out to eat when I was a kid, sometime around 1980.

It was spotted throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin, and the UP.

It was apparently a Geminid:
