That does not seem to be what the BLM terrorists want. They want the anarchy that they can take advantage of.

This is not a good thing. It's just not. I would never consider living in a large city without a police presence. I am not a fan of movies, where streets are lawless, and people run amok. I fear this may be the start of this for Minneapolis. They burned down a police station...that is unbelievable.

So, are the voters that make up the districts of these 9 council members that fanatical that they actually support this idea?

Mindless Minneapolis.
That should be the city’s new motto.

Does this actually have broad based support. If not, the city resident who don't want their city destroyed in the name of political correctness better start pounding their local politicritters to let them know. Because right now your city council seems bound and determined to commit municipal suicide.

The police union, like most public sector unions, has opposed real reform and civilian control for years. Disbanding/ defunding the police department is likely a union busting technique. That is basically what Camden NJ did.

I have no idea if something like this can be done in Minneapolis. For one thing, I am not sure Hennepin County is willing to take on the headaches of policing Minneapolis, nor am I convinced that the city officials should be allowed to abdicate their responsibility for managing, training, and disciplining the police force.

The city council has not at all articulated when they mean by disbanding the police or what, if any, plans they have for the future, but they are incompetent ideologues so I really don’t expect much from that crowd.

It's going to be an experiment in total anarchy soon.

Your city councilors belong in chains. Not removed from office - removed from society.

Seriously......unbelievable. I know I already said this, but, seriously. Way to stop any potential, for Minneapolis to attract future business. Death knell....I hope not.
