Well, the elected bureaucrats aren’t exactly doing a bang up job, and we have some apppinted positions in government, in part, to insulate them from the day-to-day political pressures. I can’t think of a better example of this working successfully than this week’s Charter Commission decision.

It does sound like they did the right thing (10-5 at least). I see the radicals are now asking for their heads.
