Cant believe noone has done such a thread yet, so Ill be the first. I wanted to create a thread where you can post daily weather patterns/temps/etc. Even post some pics if you want. I figured we talk about the weather so much, we can have an entire thread devoted to nothing but.

Soooooo, how about last night, eh? Eh?

Man, that was INSANE! Nothing like being almost 50 degrees and shooting down to -15 (windchill) in a matter of 4-5 hours! I stepped outside for a smoke last night around 10:30pm and boy o boy. I swear there was 50mph gusts at times, with a steady 30mph wind. The flurries were blowing completely horizontal and within 5 minutes time my cheeks were completely numb. What the heck was that all about? Its still cold this morning, but the sun feels nice and warm which makes it a little more tolerable. Im glad its just today, the rest of the week looks nice.

Actually, we're supposed to be getting another snow event starting tomorrow evening. I don't know if it's supposed to get up your way or not, but my brother, who lives across the lake in Muskegon says it's going to affect him too, so I would imagine you guys in the Windy are going to be affected too.

Cheers!

Grandpa Arp

I see flurries tomorrow and a few following days, with possible accumulation tomorrow night, but noone says how much?

I was home last night when a friend called and told me about it. He says come on over and we'll go driving around. So I did. WOW!!! I haven't seen something like that in almost 10 years. Pretty awesome.

On NBC last night that we may get missed by the heavy stuff, but that's all conjecture at this point. The impression I get is that we could get little or nothing or get slammed. (Isn't that how it always is?!?!)

Only in Chicago can you experience several seasons in just one day!
It is cold out but at least the sun is out today. I hear more snow on the way starting Thursday night and for the next five days off and on - flurries.
Glad I'm heading down to Florida this weekend for a vacation.

Oh, us Chicagoans love to say that, but anyone living east of the Rockies and west of the great lakes could say the same thing--it's our wonderful Continental Climate. We just get the attention because 9 million people live here. But talking and complaining about the weather is a Chicagoan staple, gives us something (other than the Bears) to talk about to the person standing next to you at an El stop.
