True, true.... this winter has more than made up for last year's abysmal winter.

Though it was truly bad that evening; I am glad some people got home before it got too bad- I had to stay and it was messy on the 8 miles homes. We didn't have to go in until noon Friday too, which was way sweet.

I just got home about 30 minutes ago. What is this, London? San Francisco? This fog is incredible, at times I had about 20' visibility at best. Awesome.

It was wonderful since the morning in the city. The fog was everywhere you could not see any buildings. The upper parts of the downtown buildings could not be seen at all from even 2 blocks away...Driving in on the Kennedy you could not see downtown at all, it was like it all disappeared.

It was like a movie... A very spooky one at that ,with all the snow on the ground..Graceland cemetary looked awesome from outside the gates. I should have gone in and taken pics...! Drat!

2-12 inches tonight? They have it narrowed down pretty good.
Is that for real? I have heard of 2-4 or maybe 3-6 and 4-8 inches but
2-12 inches I have never seen such a spread.

I guess it depends where you live. South suburbs are supposed to get 1-3", places up north are expecting 5-11", but noone knows for sure. Guess we'll find out in the morning.

Exclamation Unite

Oh my gosh, they keep changing the amount of snow every 15 minutes!! We are up to maybe getting 28 inches of snow, from tonight until 3pm tomorrow. I guess we are making up for past years, huh?!? Well I just hope the electricity does not go out. We were without it last year for 4 days. I called the power co. crying. I thought I was gonna lose my brand new born platy fish. They got my power on with in the next 4 hours. They also called back to see if my fish made it!! I was egstatic. Yes, my fish did make it. I thought that was very kind of them though. I hold high regards for electricians. That is a scary job, to me. Thank God for em though.
Earlier here it was raining, icing, sleeting, snowing, thundering and the lightening hit an apartment complex yesterday and left holes in the roof. It is crazy here in the sticks!! I will definitely be snowed in tomorrow. It will probably turn around and warm back up, just as fast as it got cold. Ok, saw the Illinois thread and just thought I would report our weather here in the Quad Cities area.
