Observation: Eggs are offered soft cooked. Soft cooked eggs are not identified in writing as a food item that that is potentially undercooked.
Correction: The consumer advisory must have two parts. Identify what items are undercooked and remind consumers that eating undercooked items have an increased health risk. For example, place a symbol next to the egg area of the menu that leads to the symboled footnote that states 'Eggs ordered soft cooked such as over-easy or sunny-side-up may be undercooked. Whether dining out or preparing food at home, consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, or eggs may increase your risk of foodborne illness. Correct By: 01-Nov-2014
