Well, I'm assuming we both got the answer correct, so I'll post the next question.

What significant event happened in Teton County on July 21, 1987?

This should be an easy find for y'all!

The strongest tornado in WY history occured on that date and place.

BTW: Thank-you everyone for your kind thoughts and prayers. My husband's grandmother passed away the day before her 101st birthday. We had to go to North Dakota for the funeral. She lived and long and eventful life.

I'm sorry (again) to hear of her passing. My thoughts are with you and your husband for the loss of his grandmother. It sounds like she must have had a very fulfilling life.

Okay for my question: Going way back in this thread to Elmer Lovejoy the man who built the first car in WY. Besides building the first car in WY what other 2 things is he known for inventing?

Again Thank-you for your kind thoughts.

Balloon tires and the road map. Not sure he invented balloon tires but he was first to use them.

Well those weren't the ones I was thinking of, but I didn't know of those other inventions of his. The ones I found were a steering mechanism for automobiles and an automatic door opener.

So because you named two invetions of his and I didn't specify which two I'll give it to you so now it's your turn.

Wyomings Impact Crater: Where is it located and when did it happen?

Quote:
In the broadest sense, the term impact crater can be applied to any depression, natural or manmade, resulting from the high velocity impact of a projectile with a larger body. In most common usage, the term is used for the approximately circular depression in the surface of a planet, moon or other solid body in the Solar System, formed by the hyper-velocity impact of a smaller body with the surface.

Cloud Creek crater located 48 miles northwest of Casper was created sometime during the early part of the Jurassic Period, if I am reading this right, was 190 million +/- 30 million years ago.

You are correct, your turn. Here is a short movie about it. It is about 6 miles across.
