Darn, you might want to ask a different question. That one was asked already, and answered at post #2072 by Froggie Legs.

Do you know what is harder than answering a trivia question in this thread? Finding a trivia question.

Darn, give me a few minutes to think up a new one. Thanks for the save EH! It is funny though that I answered froggies question only to ask her a question she had already answered.

Here is a quick one about Sheridan. Where was Sheridan County School Distirct # 2's alternative school located before its new location at the Junior High School? I would give the name of the alternative school but that would give it away. I know, this is not a tough question but I find it interesting.

jkb826, that is correct. The students liked the name Fort McKenzie so much that the school district decided to keep the name. Now its your turn.

Ok well I hope that this question has not been asked before as it has been sometime since I read thru this thread.
What was the name of the outlaw that was lynched in Rawlins and then gruesomely ended up having his skin made into a pair of shoes?

I would also like to say that I love the idea of this thread being resurrected.

I actually know that one - it was George Parrott, who went by the nickname "Big Nose George."

(If you saw him in profile you'd know why.)

Big Nose George killed two Wyoming lawmen, went to Montana, got drunk and bragged about it. Montana deputies caught him and sent him back to Wyoming, where he was convicted of murder and sentenced to death by hanging.

Big Nose George was lynched by a 200 man mob after he tried to escape the Rawlins jail by fracturing the skull of the jailer minding him on March 22, 1881. The mob decided to move his scheduled execution date up (April 2) just to make sure he showed up for it.

I'd love to ask about what Big Nose George contributed to the biological study of criminals, but every criminologist in the country knows the story. Too easy.

So I'll ask this: Sammy Davis, Jr., Neil Diamond and entertainer Chris LeDoux all spent time in this Wyoming community. What was it?
