Next Question: Who is the smallest entrepreneur in Wyoming?
I guess no one wants to answer this because then they would have to ask the next question. So I'll provide the answer for the record.

This young man may be the smallest entrepreneur in Wyoming. Cy Magee, kindergarden, age 6, Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Cy, age 6, began selling marigold seeds from his mother's garden a few weeks ago. The money he collects from the project goes to buy feed for his donkey, Lady. There are about 100 seeds in each packet, and they go for $1 per packet. AJ has set up an email account, cysdonkey"at"live.com (replace the "at" with @ ), to handle requests and questions about the seeds as the project goes forward.
If anyone else has a question they would like to ask, have at it.

Okay, it's been a while, I see, but I have one..

Please identify where in Wyoming this photo was taken, and what is significant about the locale?

(on a side note, my cousin had her engagement photos shot here)

Default Great Thread

Hi Guys and Ladies, I'm new to this site, and I just have to say that this thread is great, members on this site are very informative and at times downright entertaining. I'm from cajun country and have long dreamed of the west, ant it's wide open spaces. My wife and I have recently returned from Wyoming and have fallen in love with it's natural beauty and the friendliness of it's people.I'll be returning to this thread from time to time to learn the history of your great state. By the way we are thinking about moving out there next year, hope you have room for flatlanders. Keep up the good work, Thanks

Is it at Friend Park, west of Wheatland? Where the first Quaker Meeting was held, right? Or, so-named because of the Quakie's at it's base?

Oh, man, I can feel my high school teacher (member of the Society of Friends) scowling at me!

Okay, hint time.. this is a popular place to go rock climbing and is in the south-eastern part of the state, if that helps. So instead of significant (rock climbers haven), what is the Native American meaning of the name of this place...

here's another shot... I edited out my cousin and her fiance so that's why the trees look strange

I'm sure I'm not the only person that knows the answer. I'm surprised it wasn't asked about previously in this thread. They are probably afraid they will have to come up with a new question.

Vedauwoo - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Quote:
Vedauwoo (pronounced: vi də vu is an area of rocky outcrops (Sherman Granite) located in south-eastern Wyoming, United States, north of Interstate 80, between Laramie and Cheyenne. Its name (according to climbing guidebook authors Skip Harper and Rob Kelman) is an anglicized version of the Arapaho word "bito'o'wu" meaning "earth-born". The area is within Medicine Bow - Routt National Forest and includes a day-use picnic area and an overnight campground. Vedauwoo is a popular climbing area. Mountain bikers, anglers, hikers, cross-country skiers, snowshoers, and rock climbers come from all parts of the world to sample the area's natural beauty. Climbers find some of the best wide crack climbs (called "offwidths") known. There are over 900 routes currently on record.[1] Due to its elevation and distance from nearby cities, making it a dark site, it is a favorite of star party enthusiasts. Interstate 80 passes just south of the main rock outcroppings and well-marked highway signs indicate the exit to use in order to reach Vedauwoo. An alternative is to drive in from the Happy Jack road that runs between Laramie and Cheyenne.
