Just over Jackass Pass, or Texas pass....
I believe that area would be known today as "Cirque Of The Towers", West of Lander, Wyoming. It is a popular mountain climbing destination.

Way cool!

Next Question: Prior to the coming of the railroads, which Wyoming town was known as Alamo?

Hint: It was renamed in 1889 in honor of Charles ___________, chief counsel for Burlington Railroad. The railroad is what made the settlement of _________ possible: it was the railroad's subsidiary Lincoln Land Company that surveyed and platted the town, then started selling lots. One thing the Lincoln Land Company did to improve the sale of lots in _________ was to build a highway bridge over the Bighorn River at _________. The bridges at _________ and Greybull are what made it practicable for people to drive to either Worland or Sheridan on shopping expeditions (even though the road wasn't paved until after 1936 when the Sheridan Highway was designated as an extension of US Highway 14).

That is correct. Your turn Rescue3.

Sorry it wasn't a more interesting topic, I'm running out of stuff to ask questions about. This one caught my eye because I had relatives in Manderson, they owned the grocery store there some years ago.

Default Next Question

Currently traded on the New York stock exchange, this large retailer opened its very first store in Wyoming in 1902. What was the store originally named?

LOL, if it is J.C. Penny's, originally called "The Golden Rule" that question has been asked twice before in this Trivia thread.
