You have no idea how much I wanted to be all high and mighty and correct the "perbread labadoodles" lady, but I was afraid she'd bite me. (She was running off the rails already because people were accusing her of being an irresponsible "breader.")

Yes, they are currently not purebred, however there is an effort to develop a purebred line. Keep in mind that that is how all "purebreds" have happened.

If breeding labradoodle to labradoodle results in dogs that breed true generation to generation, at some point it will become a breed, different from the original poodle-labrador cross. That will take many generations of dogs and an effort to avoid concentrating problematic health issues.
