How about something like...That was no lady, that was my wife...or...Gentlemen, start your classless behavior...?

Or a news story that caught my attention awhile back: The gentleman who committed the rapes and murder..."

The most hilarious probably would still be referring a disabled or handicapped person as "differently abled".

That's the ticket. Prisons are full of such people.

That is true, but a lot of people with similar traits and behaviors are still walking the streets...

I used to get bent out shape over the political correctness of not being able to use the term mentally retarded. However, since I have a brother who falls into this category and I oversee much of his care, I kind of get it. He knows enough to know that retarded has a negative connotation. I do not use it when I speak with him. I don't want him to think I see him through those particular glasses. I'll say he had some developmental issues at birth, if I must. But when I speak of his condition with a health care professional or similar, I usually will use the term mentally retarded. It is just the most apt.

At least we don't use the word moron anymore, which was appropriate at the beginning of the 20th Century.

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but the French word "walla" always brings a smile to my face. Voila!

I don't know if it's in this specific thread, but it's mentioned many times in the writing forum. Possibly many times in this thread. I think there are some who think the word really is walla. LOL
