Some cars have seat harnesses that tighten in anticipation of a collision, possibly with pyrotechnics?

Pyrotechnics can refer the fireworks that happen when cars smash together and you need those seat harnesses to tighten up. Or maybe to the fireworks that happen when you find out an uninsured driver totaled your car.
