The word "sale." Oh, it sounds so obvious what the word sale means, but apparently it isn't, especially not to Christmas shoppers, who become ecstatic at the mere mention of the word. The word "sale" can have more than one meaning. It can mean something that was priced at $X and now the priced is reduced to $Y. However, it can also mean an item that is now available for purchase that was not available for purchase before. People automatically assume that because something is marked on "sale" that it's a price reduction and they are getting a great deal. Not necessarily. It is good to thy definitions, especially around Christmas time.
