Yes, we all like to complain about bad pay, bad hours, whatever...what are some PERKS of your job. Let's talk about them (if your job has any). Do you love your boss? Do you have lots of friends at work? Do you get free food?

Let's celebrate some good points about our jobs (apart from the salaries). I am curious what perks you have...

I'll start--at my job we get free soda & coffee (all we want), which I think is kind of nice and saves $$ for sure. Also no one sits around staring at the clock if you are in one second late or back from lunch 5 minutes past your time. (it's nice to be treated like an adult, not a time clock jockey). We also have some other perks but I would rather not list them right now.

My perks are that I have two levels of Supervision and they both are very laid back and leave you alone! We have a very relaxed atmosphere. I can come to work clock in and then say I am going to CVS or to get a smoothie across the street and it's totally okay.
If I want a day off and my coworkers (2) are scheduled I can call in that day and it will be granted. We almost always get day off request without any hassell.

Yes, we get those (free lunches) sometimes, too. I just started in March (I'm temp but maybe will get taken on in another department) and the first day was someone's birthday. The next was another birthday (with 2 cakes). Then free lunch day. I was quite impressed with that for a short while!

I pretty much get along with everyone at work. I like that with this job now, theres no room for drama queens, gossip or backbiting....at least I havent seen any of it with any of the people there. We all work as a team.

When I do taxes, I'm not charged to do my own. There's no fee for filing online, only if you're trying to get a bank product...then it is deducted from the refund, and the BANK takes it out, not the company.

There aren't really many perks with my job, but I can think of 2...

When it comes time for lunch, if I want to walk into downtown and go to a sit down place, I tell the Front Desk Person and my General Manager, "I'm going out for lunch, I'll be back in like 45 minutes....".. there's never a problem.

I thinjk the 2nd perk I can think of is most important.. I LOVE MY JOB!.

Ok, I thought of a third perk... My voice blasting forth with 30,000 Watts of power off an antenna 675 feet up a tower.

Pretty cool, eh?

I'm lucky to have found an employer who by far is the most laid-back of all. I can work from home whenever I need to and it's no big deal. That makes up for a big cut in pay. Company also provides discounts for AT&T, Dell, Sprint, etc. Sick & vacation pay is generous, parking is free.
